2008 Women's League: |
The Women’s League meeting is slated for Tuesday May 6th at 7:00 p.m. at the Portage Lake Golf Course. The league consists of 2 golfer tandems competing in a match play format. It is recommended that all players be members of PLGC. However, non-members are encouraged to play as well. Non-members will pay greens fees every Tuesday prior to their matches. The league is set to begin on Tuesday June 3rd and continuing through Tuesday August 12th. Dues to join the league are $50.00. This fee is not included in the membership or greens fees. This fee covers league expenses, weekly prizes, and end of year banquet expenses.

Michigan Tech’s Portage Lake Golf Course Men’s League is set to begin Thursday, June 5th. The PLGC Men’s League, consisting of two golfers per team, will begin Thursday, May 29th with a “Fun Day”. The official league matches will begin Thursday, June 5th. The league will run 11 weeks ending August 7th,with play-offs slated for August 14th. To end the season, a “Fun Day” will take place on August 23rd. The banquet will be held on August 28th. The cost per person to join the league is $75. The $75 league membership includes a GAM (Golf Association of Michigan) membership and handicap, year-end banquet with free beer and wine, and prizes. Substitute players will be charged $35, which includes an official GAM handicap, a $25 value! All league members must be members in good standing at the Portage Lake Golf Course.
