LocationMichigan Tech is located in Houghton, the birthplace of hockey in the United States. Situated in the heart of the Keweenaw Peninsula in Upper Michigan, it is only a few minutes from the scenic shores of Lake Superior. Mom and Dad can combine vacation with their child's hockey school. Accommodations are available on the campus or the many resort areas nearby. There are plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities at hand—boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and camping. The University also owns its own eighteen-hole golf course. How To Get HereIf you are arriving by car, US Highway 41 and State Highway 26 take you right to the campus. Auto maps (from anywhere in the US) are available upon request. The area is served daily by Greyhound Bus Lines and Mesaba-Northwest Airlink (airport code CMX). Arrangements can be made to meet you at the airport or bus station.
